Brooklyn, ready to invest their doUars in choice Brook¬ lyn property; but they wanted it at their own flgures, and this was noticeable throughout the sale. Measured by the standard of values, such as now rules in thia market, some thirty lots were' sold at tolerably go«d prices—probably not high enough to suit the seller, but nevertheJess fair enough considering the times. The moment, however, when it became evident that the aale was not to be without '-limit or reservation," as adver¬ tised, a bid of $1,200 for a lot on Fulton avenue having been refused by Mr. Muller, the interest in the sale slackened, buyers saw they could not, as yet, have it at their own flgures, and shortly after the remainder of the property was withdrawn from public sale, the Messrs. Muller holding it now on sale at private contract. On Thursday two three-story brown-stone bouses on the east side of Broadway, near 4Gth street, were sold at the Exchange for $26,000 each. Foreclosure sales stUI continue to crowd one another, but daring the past week they have not developed any new feature worthy of note. One of the incidents tending to relieve the monotony pf the Exchange Salesroom occurred on Thursday, when a prominent broker unconsciously became the owner of a Prospect place mant-ioa, being all the time under the impression that he' was bidding on a Boulevard lot. He was, however, soon relieved of his burden, as the goodnatured auctioneer once more put up the house and turned it over to the stereotyped "plaintiff in the suit." BUSINESS CHANGES.
