Index to l^ecord and Quxoe Vol. LVI. For Netfv York Conveyances, Projected Buildin£;s and Advertisers. NOS. 1425 TO 1450, JULY-—DECEMBER, INCLUSIVE. 1895. The following is the semi-annual Index of Volume LVI, of The Record and Guide, containing complete lists of tbo Conveyances and Buildings Pro.ieeted iu New York City during tlie last six montbs of 1895. With this issue of tbe Index tbe plan has been adopted of indexing all street and avenue frontages, thus simplifying the whole and rendering it more satisfactory for reference. Iu many instances there will be found streets, etc., indexed under pages wbtcb, on being examined, show at once that they are not in their proper order according to our customary alphabetical and numerical arrangement. A further exandnation will disclose the fact that while the properties appear more promi- nenlly under other stieet deseiiptions, they r.evertheless extend to tbe streets, etc., indi¬ cated by the ludjx and having a frontage on same have been included iu tbe paging. Again, it occasionally occurs that one deed will describe property conveyed in fee and also property under lease. As each baa been indexed with or without parenthesis as required by its description it will be found at times that a parcel is not iu its proper alpha¬ betical or numerical position and it will necessitate a socnewhat more thorough search than usual to locate it. The Projected Build¬ ings are indexed in a similar manner to tbe plan followed with the Conveyances ao that it can readily be ascertained on what streets im. provementa have been made. Thoae wishing to keep a tile for permanent reference should see that all the numbers are complete and have them bound. Cost of binding, $2.00 per volume. A suitable temporary binder, hold¬ ing one volume, can be obtained at the office, 14 and 16 Vesey street; price, one dollar. CONVEYANCES. Note.—The figures in parenthesis—for in¬ stance, page [897) under the head of Allen street, from Broome to Delancey street — denote that the transaction on the page given is Leasehold, an assignment of lease or a lease running for a long term of years.
