ex to fjecord and Guide For New York Auction Sales, Conveyances, Leases, Mortgages and Projected Buildings. Vol. LXXIX. NOS. 2025 to 2050 JANUARY-JUNE, INCLUSIVE. 1907 PREFACE. Tlie following is the semL-anuual Iiule^c oC Volume LXXTX of the Record and Guide, containing complete lists of the Auction Sales, Conveyances, Leases, Mortgages and Buildings Projected in New York City dur¬ ing tlie first six months of 1907. Those wishing to lieep a file for permanent refer¬ ence shouid see that all t!ic numbers are complete and have them bonnd. Cost of binding, $2.-50 per volume. A siiitablR tem¬ porary binder, liolding one volume, can be obtained at tlic office, 11-15 East 24th st; mice, one dollar. THE KEY. '•' Before any page No. indicates an Auction Sale. t Before any page No. indicates a New Build¬ ing projected. Figures in parenthesis are leases. Figures preceded by capital letters arc mort¬ gages, said capital letter indicating t\u: first letter of the name of the mortgagor. Figures without any signs whatsoever are Conveyances. EXAMPLE. 1st St, from Av A to 1st av. .(27), F .^1, 4r>S, 'HJ27. tl27y. On page *!)27 an auction sale will be found. On page 4r)S a conveyance will be found. On page F 'Al a mortgage will be found. On page (27) a iea.se will be found. On page t1275 will be found plans for a new building. AUCTION SALES. The '^ appearing before.any number indi¬ cates the page on which to find an Auction Sale. CONVEYANCES are distinguished by numbers williout. having signs attached thereto. In many instances there will be found streets, etc., indexed undei' pages which, on being examined, show at once that they are not in theif proper order according to our customary alphabeti¬ cal and numerical arrangement. A further examination will disclose the fact tiiat while the properties appear more prominently nnder the other street descriptions, they neverlheiesa extend to the streets, etc., indi¬ cated by Ihe Index, and having a frontage on same have been included in the paging, and it will necessitate a somewhat more thorough search than usual to locate it. The Leases, Mortgages, Auction Sales and Pro¬ jected Buildings are indexed in a similar manner to the plan followed with the Con¬ veyances. LEASES, The figures in parenthesis denote that the transaction on the page given is Leasehold, an assignment of lease or a lease running for a short or long term of years. This explana¬ tion is made so that subscribers searching for transfers in fee can at once distinguish between the former and the latter without referring to tlie pages mentioned. MORTGAGES. All the mortgages are indexed against tliQ street or avenue in wliicli the property is lo- cat,ed, and memoranda added to enable searchers to find the particulars in "Thu Record and Guide." See "Example." The streets and avenues are so subdivided that very few references are necessary. All read¬ ers of "The Record and Guide" are aware that the mortgages appear weelcly in alpha¬ betical order, so that they have, so to speak, a weekly index of mortgagors. This publica¬ tion of an index against property completea the information which those interested may require. PROJECTED BUILDINGS are included under the same general heading,, and are distinguished hy Ihe t which pre¬ cedes the numbering. Auction Sales, Conveyances, Leases, Mortgages and Projscted Buildings. JUOKOUGH OF MjVNHATTAN STREETS. NOTE.—Longitudinal streets, roads and places, such as the Bowery, Boulevard, Broadway, etc.. whiL-h run parallel with the various avenues, will be found in alphabetical order amongst the avenues.
