Index to Record and Guide vq'- lxxxix: For Manhattan and the Bronx Auction Sales, Canweyances, teases. Mortgages and Projected Buildings, NOS. 2286 to 2311 JANUARY-JUNE, INCLUSIVE. 1912 PREFACE. The following is the semi-annual Index of Volume LXXXIX of the Record and Guide, containing complete lists of the Auction Sales, Conveyances, Leases, Mort¬ gages anjil Buildings Projected in Manhat¬ tan and Bronx during- the first six months of 1013. Those wishing to keep a lile for permanent reference should see that all the numbers are complete and have them bound. Cost of binding, $2.50 per volume. A suitable temporary binder, holding ont volume, can be obtained at the office, 11- 15 East 2-lth st: price,'one dollai;. THE KEY. ♦ Before any page No. indicates an Auc¬ tion Sale, t Before any pa^e No. indicates a New Building projected. Figures in parentliesis are leases. Figures preceded by capital letters are mortgages, said capital letter indicat¬ ing the first lettei- of the name of the mortgagor. Figures without any signs whatsoever are Conveyances. EXAMPLE. Perry st, from Washington to West sL. . »17, 17, 73, C SO, (155), A 157, S Zii. tioio. On pag:e (155) lease will be found. On pages 17 and 73 conveyances will be found. On page tlOlO plans for new building- will he found. On page *17 an auction sale will be found. On pages C SO, A 157, S 344 mortgages will he found. AUCTION SALES. The * appearing before any numbei- in¬ dicates the page on which to find an Auc¬ tion Sale. CONVEYANCES are distinguished by numbers without having signs attached thereto. In many instances there will be found streets, etc., indexed under pages wliich, on being ex¬ amined, show at once that they are not in their proper order according to our cus¬ tomary alphabetical and numerical ar¬ rangement. A further examination will disclose the fact that while the properties appear more prominently under the other street descriptions, they nevertheless ex¬ tend to the streets, etc., indicated by the Index, and having a frontage on same have been included in tlie paging, and it will necessitate a somewhat more thor¬ ough search than usual to locate it. The Leases, Mortgages, Auction Sales and Pro¬ jected Buildings are indexed in a similar manner to the plan followed with the Conveyances. LEASES. The hguies in parenthesis denote that Ihi; transaction on the page given is Leasehold, an assignment of lease or a lease running for a short or long term of years. This explanation is made so that subscribers searching- for transfers in fee can at once distinguish between .the form¬ er and the latter without referring to the pages mentioned. MORTGAGES. All the mortgages are indexed against the street or avenue in which the property is located, and memoranda added to en¬ able searchers to find the particulars in "The Record and Guide." See "Example." The streets and avenues are so subdivided that very few references are necessary. All readers of "The Record and Guide" are aware that the mortgages appear weekly in alphabetical and numerical order, so that they have, so to speak, a weekly index of mortgagors. This publication of an in- dfX against property completes the in¬ formation which those interested may re- lUiire. PROJECTED BUILDINGS aie included under the same general head¬ ing, and are distinguished by the t which precedes the numbering, NOTE.—Longitudinal streets, roads and places, such as the Bowery, Boulevard. Broadway, etc., ivhich run parallel with the various avenues, will be found in alphabetical order ainong the avenues. NOTE.—When in doubt as to the mean ing of the signs used, consult the key on page 3- Auction Sales, Gonveyatices, Leases Mortgages and Projected Buildings. BOROUGH OP RIANHATT^IN STRKKTS. NOTE.—LoDgitudinal streets, roads and places, such as the Boivery. Boulevard, Broadway, etc.. which run parallel with the various avenues, will be fouud m alphabetical order among the avenues.
